One of the major reasons we built this website was to help bring honor to those who served and sacrificed for this country in the present or the past as a Smoky Mountain military member.
Civilians who have no experience in military combat or training cannot know what it means for these people to enlist in the armed services and brave the dangers that come with it, so the best we can do is honor them as often as we can and provide resources for others to see what it means to become a military service person.
