In the early 2010s, the industry growing the fastest in the Smokies was the distillery industry. In the mid-2010s, the fasted growing industry in the Smokies was the ziplining industry. In the late 2010s into early 2021 it was the roadside rollercoasters that were the top new thing getting developed throughout our area. Now, beginning sometime in 2022 and continuing to bring more in today, the fastest growing industry taking the center spotlight are recreational vehicle rentals in the Smokies.
